Will trimming my hollow core door ruin it?
Most hollow doors have a solid wood block at the bottom (usually around 1 to 2 inches thick). If we have to cut past this block to clear thick carpet, we will insert and glue a new piece of timber into the base to restore its strength.
Does the cutting process splinter the wood veneer?
